This site is operated by Remedy Co., LLC, a Missouri limited liability company doing business as KC Video Club. This page explains what the site collects, who else receives it, and how to make it stop. If any of it is unclear, email Hello@kcvideoclub.com.
The short version
There is no store here, no login, and no contact form. We cannot learn your name or your email address unless you hand it to us. What the site does do is measure traffic, measure which visits turn into booked calls, and run a service that tries to work out which business a visit came from so we can follow up. That last one is the part most sites do not mention, so it is spelled out below.
What you give us directly
Nothing you type goes into this website, because there is nothing to type into. Every “Book a call” button hands you to Calendly, an outside scheduling service. Whatever you enter there — your name, your email, anything you write in the notes — is collected by Calendly and passed on to us, and Calendly’s own privacy policy governs that step. If you email or phone us instead, we have whatever you chose to send.
What is collected automatically
Like any website, this one sits behind a host and a content delivery network that keep server logs: IP address, browser and device, which page was requested, when, and which page referred you. On top of that, these outside services load on our pages.
- Google Analytics. How many people visit, which pages they read, roughly what part of the world they are in, how long they stay. Sets cookies.
- Google Tag Manager. The container that loads the tags in this list.
- Google Ads conversion tracking. Records when a visit ends in a click through to our booking page, so we can tell which ads are worth paying for. Sets cookies.
- Instantly visitor identification. Attempts to match your visit to a company, and sometimes to a business contact at that company, using your IP address together with data the vendor already holds. We use the result to follow up with businesses that have looked at the site.
- YouTube. Our video embeds. Google sets cookies when a player loads.
- Google Fonts and our video CDN. They serve typefaces and video files, and receive your IP address in the course of doing so.
We do not run a Meta pixel, a TikTok pixel, or any session-recording, heatmap or keystroke-logging tool on this site.
What we use it for
Three things, and nothing else: understanding which pages are useful, understanding which advertising pays for itself, and finding businesses in the Kansas City area that might want video made. We are a production company, not a data business. We have never sold a list and have no interest in starting.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell your information for money. We should be straight with you, though: several state privacy laws define “sale” and “sharing” broadly enough that using an advertising network and a visitor-identification service can fall inside those definitions even when no money changes hands. Rather than argue the point, our position is simpler. If you would prefer we did none of it with your visit, email us and we will honor that, whichever state you live in and whether or not the law where you live requires us to.
How to switch it off
Most of this lives in cookies, so clearing them or browsing in a private window removes most of it. Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics everywhere, not just here. Ad personalization can be turned off in your Google account settings. Visitor identification works from your IP address rather than a cookie, so the only reliable way to stop it is to ask us — email Hello@kcvideoclub.com and we will have you excluded.
Our advertising tags are configured not to fire anywhere other than the live kcvideoclub.com site, so staging and preview copies of the site do not track anyone.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of targeted advertising or profiling. We do not check whether your state grants those rights before honoring them. Email Hello@kcvideoclub.com, tell us what you want done, and we will do it within thirty days. We will not charge you and we will not make the site worse for you afterwards.
How long we keep things
Analytics data expires on the retention schedule set in our Google Analytics property. Inquiries, bookings and project correspondence we keep while we are working together and for as long afterward as our tax and contract records require. Visitor-identification records we keep while a prospect is active and clear out the rest once a year.
Children
This is a business-to-business site and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under thirteen. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we add or remove a tool that touches your data, we change this page and move the date at the top. We do not send notifications about it, so the date is the thing to watch.
