A brand film is the one video you point people at when they ask what you actually do. We make them in Kansas City, interview-led, and we cut a year of shorter pieces out of the same shoot day. Pricing starts at $2,000 and every number is published on this page.
The brand film that nobody finishes watching
There is a house style for this. Slow push-in on a logo. Sunrise over a city. A voice saying "we believe" four times. Words like authentic and passionate, in a serif font, fading up and down. It is beautifully shot and it says nothing, and the analytics will tell you people leave at eleven seconds.
The films that hold are almost always more specific and less grand. Somebody explaining the actual decision they made when they started the company. A machinist describing the part everybody else gets wrong. The specific thing is what makes a viewer believe the general thing, and it works in the opposite order from how most brand films are built.
So we do not write you a manifesto. We interview the two or three people who know why the company is the way it is, we find the moments where they stop performing, and we build the film out of that.
What a brand film is for
The top of your homepage
Ninety seconds that answers "what is this company" before a visitor has to read anything. This is the highest-leverage placement video has, and most companies leave it empty or fill it with stock footage.
The room before you walk in
Sent ahead of a pitch, a board meeting, an investor conversation or a big RFP. It does the credibility work so the meeting can be about the actual question.
Recruiting
Candidates research you. A brand film is what they find instead of a Glassdoor page — and if the film is honest, the people it attracts are the people who will stay.
Everything downstream
This is the part companies underestimate. One shoot day produces the anchor film and then fifteen to thirty short pieces: verticals, fifteen-second pre-rolls, b-roll for sales decks, stills for the website. Coming back later for those costs another shoot day. Getting them in the same pass costs nothing extra.
How we make them
- Interviews first. Two or three people, forty-five minutes each. The film's structure comes out of the transcript, not out of a treatment written before we met you.
- Real footage of real work. Your floor, your kitchen, your job site, your classroom. Specific beats cinematic every time, and the specific stuff is usually also cheaper to get.
- No voiceover unless it earns its place. A narrator is how a film stops sounding like the company and starts sounding like an ad.
- Cut for length on purpose. Ninety seconds for the homepage, three minutes for the long version, thirty and fifteen for paid, verticals for social.
What you get
- A crew of two — the same two, every shoot.
- We come to you, anywhere in the metro, at no travel charge.
- Licensed music, color grading, sound mix and captions.
- The anchor film plus the cutdowns, and brand photography pulled from the same day.
- Unlimited revisions. We work until you are happy, not until the hours run out.
What it costs
These are the published prices. They are the same whether you call in January or in October.
- The Short — $2,000. A shoot of your space and your people cut to music with text on top. No interviews. Not a full brand film, but a real piece of work and a reasonable place to start if you have never made one.
- Story Film — $4,500. A focused shoot at one location, interview-led, cut into a single polished film. This is the right choice if you want one strong brand film and nothing else.
- Brand Package — $10,000. Multiple scenes across a shoot day: the hero film, social cutdowns, cinematic b-roll and brand photography. This is the brand film plus the year of material that comes from the same day, and it is the package most companies should buy if they want video to last.

Clients we have worked with
We have produced work for University Academy, Donnelly College and Mazuma. All three had the same job to do: explain something that people think they already understand — a school, a college, a credit union — and get across why theirs is not the version in the viewer's head.
We are happy to walk you through what we made and what we would do differently for you. Ask on the call.
How it works
- A call. Thirty minutes. You tell us what the company is and where the film needs to live. We tell you which package fits and what it costs. No deck.
- Interviews and a shot list. We work out who should talk and what we need to film, and send it to you before the day so nothing is a surprise.
- The shoot. Usually one day. Interviews in the morning, footage of the work in the afternoon.
- The cut. Anchor film back within a couple of weeks, then the cutdowns. You give notes. We revise until it is right.
Where we shoot
We film across the metro every week — Kansas City, Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, Leawood, Parkville and everywhere between. There is no travel charge inside the metro.
How much does a brand film cost in Kansas City?
A single brand film is the $4,500 Story Film. The $10,000 Brand Package is the film plus social cutdowns, cinematic b-roll and brand photography from the same shoot day. Those are published prices, not starting points.
What is the difference between a brand film and a commercial?
A commercial sells one thing to one audience and usually runs as paid media. A brand film explains who the company is and lives on your homepage, in your pitch and in your recruiting. Different job, different structure, same shoot day if you want both.
Do you write a script or a treatment first?
No treatment written before we have met your people. We interview first and build the film's structure from what they actually said. Films built from a pre-written script are where the generic brand-film sound comes from.
How long should a brand film be?
Ninety seconds for the homepage version, up to about three minutes for the long one. We deliver both plus vertical and short cuts, because the right length depends entirely on where somebody is watching.
How long does it take?
One shoot day, then a first cut back within a couple of weeks. Revisions after that are unlimited, so the finish date depends mostly on how quickly you return notes.
Can you use our existing footage or photos?
Yes, if the quality holds up next to new material. Bring it to the call and we will tell you honestly whether cutting it in will help the film or date it.
