We produce customer testimonial videos in Kansas City. Real customers, interview-led, no scripts, no actors. Pricing starts at $2,000 and every number is published on this page, because you should not have to sit through a sales call to find out what something costs.
A testimonial is the only marketing you cannot write yourself
You can write your own website. You can write your own ads. You cannot write the sentence where somebody who owes you nothing says you were worth the money — and that is the only sentence a skeptical buyer actually believes.
Which is why it is strange how rare good testimonial video is. Most companies have a written quote with a first name and a last initial on their homepage, and everybody reading it assumes somebody in marketing wrote it. A person on camera, with a face and a voice and a slight hesitation before the good part, is a different category of evidence.
The reason it is rare is not cost. It is that somebody has to make the ask. That is the actual bottleneck, and it is worth knowing that going in.
How we shoot them
No script, ever
The moment a customer is handed talking points, the film is dead. Their delivery changes, their eyes change, and viewers can hear it even when they cannot name what is wrong. We ask questions instead and let people answer badly for a while until they answer well. That is what the edit is for.
Questions built around the before, not the after
Most testimonials start at the result: "They were great to work with." That is useless — nobody's competitor claims to be bad to work with. The useful part is the before: what was broken, what it was costing, what they had already tried, why they hesitated. A prospect recognizes themselves in the before and stops reading the rest as advertising.
Short, and shot to be cut short
Sixty to ninety seconds for the main cut. Then fifteen- and thirty-second verticals for social and paid, pulled from the same interview. One good forty-five minute sit-down produces a surprising amount of usable material.
Shot where they actually are
At their office, their shop, their kitchen, their job site. Context does a lot of the persuading, and a customer in their own space relaxes faster than a customer in a studio.
What we make
- Single customer stories. One customer, one film, cut for the website and for social.
- Multi-customer montages. Three to six customers cut together into one piece. Strong for a homepage or a sales deck, because it reads as a pattern rather than an anecdote.
- Sales-enablement cuts. Short, specific films your reps can send after a call — one per objection, one per industry, one per use case.
- Event testimonial montages. Attendee reactions and takeaways captured at your own event. That version is priced separately on our event video page at $3,000, with individual cut-downs at $250 each.
What you get
- A crew of two — the same two, every shoot.
- We travel to your customer, anywhere in the metro, at no charge.
- Licensed music, color, sound mix and captions. Captions matter more here than anywhere: most of this gets watched on mute.
- A long cut, vertical cutdowns, and stills pulled from the shoot day.
- Unlimited revisions. We work until you are happy, not until the hours run out.
What it costs
These are the published prices. They are the same whether you call in January or in October.
- The Short — $2,000. A shoot with no interviews, cut to music with text on top. Not a testimonial, strictly — but worth knowing about as the floor.
- Story Film — $4,500. One location, one customer, interview-led, cut into a single polished film plus social cutdowns. This is where most testimonials land.
- Brand Package — $10,000. Multiple customers across a shoot: a hero montage, individual films, social cutdowns and stills. This is the right choice if you want a library rather than one film.
Full pricing for everything we make is broken down on our video production cost page.
Getting your customer to say yes
This is the part most companies get stuck on, so here is what works. Ask a customer you have recently done something unusually good for, while it is still recent. Tell them it is forty-five minutes at their own office, that a crew of two will be in and out, and that you will send them the film to use themselves. Do not send a list of questions in advance — it makes people rehearse, and rehearsed is the thing we are trying to avoid.
If they say no, ask the next one. A one-in-three yes rate is normal and completely fine.
Clients we have worked with
We have produced work for Connections to Success, Donnelly College and University Academy — organizations whose entire case rests on what happened to the people they serve, which is testimonial work whether it is called that or not.
We are happy to walk you through what we made and what we would do differently for you. Ask on the call.
How it works
- A call. Thirty minutes. You tell us who your customers are and what you want a prospect to believe. We tell you which package fits and what it costs.
- The ask. You line up the customer. We will give you the wording that gets a yes if that helps.
- The shoot. Forty-five minutes to an hour at their location. We handle everything; your customer just sits down and talks.
- The cut. First version back within a couple of weeks, with the cutdowns. You give notes. We revise until it is right.
Where we shoot
We film across the metro every week — Kansas City, Overland Park, Olathe, Lee's Summit, Liberty and everywhere between. Because testimonial shoots happen at your customer's location rather than yours, the no-travel-charge part matters: we will drive to them.
How much does a testimonial video cost in Kansas City?
Most single-customer testimonials are the $4,500 Story Film, which includes the interview shoot, the main cut and social cutdowns. A multi-customer library is the $10,000 Brand Package. Those are published prices, not starting points.
Do you write questions or a script for the customer?
We write the questions; we never script the answers. Scripted testimonials are immediately obvious to viewers and they destroy the only thing a testimonial has going for it.
How much of my customer's time does it take?
Forty-five minutes to an hour, at their location. We set up before they sit down and we do not need them for anything else.
What if my customer says no?
Ask the next one. A one-in-three yes rate is normal. It helps to ask soon after you have done something they were genuinely happy about, and to offer them the finished film to use themselves.
Can you capture testimonials at our conference or trade show?
Yes. That is the Testimonial Montage at $3,000, with individual cut-downs at $250 each — details are on our event video page. It is the most efficient way to get many customers on camera in one day.
Do we get vertical versions for social and ads?
Yes, included. Every testimonial is cut for the website and reformatted vertically for social and paid, with captions, because most of it gets watched with the sound off.
