Kansas City has five casinos inside the metro, and every one of them advertises the same three things: slots, steaks and a headliner. The video that stands out is the one that looks like a specific building on a specific night, not a stock reel with a logo on the end.
The Kansas City angle
The casino audience in Kansas City is local and repeat. Ameristar sits on the Missouri River on the east side, Harrah's in North Kansas City, Argosy in Riverside, Bally's on the riverfront downtown and Hollywood Casino at the Kansas Speedway in KCK. The drive time between any two of them is under thirty minutes, which means the decision is made on brand, not distance.
That changes what the video has to do. It is not explaining what a casino is; the viewer already knows. It is showing them which one feels like their night out: the view from the hotel tower, the room where the concert is, the bar where their friends are. Specifics win, and specifics are what a Kansas City crew can shoot that a national agency cannot.
A concert weekend, filmed as a campaign
Take a property with a headliner booked for a Saturday in the event center. The useful film is not the concert; it is the whole evening. We would arrive at five for the valet line and the restaurant plating, be on the floor at seven for the light and the sound of the room filling, cover the first two songs from the pit with the tour's permission, and finish at the bar after the encore. The one edit that comes out of it is a sixty-second spot; the ten vertical cut-downs are the month of social that follows.
The same structure works for a poker room opening, a new restaurant on the property, or a slot floor renovation. One night, one crew, one campaign.
What to actually make
- A 60-second property spot — the building, the floor, the food and the show in one continuous evening, cut for pre-roll and the lobby screens.
- Vertical cut-downs — ten to fifteen short pieces from the same footage for Instagram and TikTok, each about one thing: the plate, the pour, the encore.
- A hotel tower piece — thirty seconds of the room, the view and the walk to the floor, for the booking page.
- Headliner announcements — a repeatable template so the marketing team can drop in each act without a new shoot.
What it costs in Kansas City
For most of the businesses in this post the right starting point is the Brand Package at $10,000: two shoot days and a set of films built to run for a year. Gaming properties usually need the two-day version because the floor and the event center are two different nights. Every package is published on our commercial page, and the video production cost page explains what moves the number up or down. There is no travel fee anywhere in the metro, Overland Park to Lee's Summit to Lawrence.
How the shoot works
It is the same two people on every project, Josh and Brandon. We scope it on a call, write the shot list, show up with lights and a lav mic, and stay out of the way of your customers. A first cut lands in about two weeks with unlimited revisions after that, and you own every frame, including the raw footage on request.
If this is your business, the commercial page has the packages, the examples and the calendar link. If you are not sure which package fits, this is how we work and why the prices are on the site.
