Event videography at InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza, priced up front. Keynotes, recap films and attendee testimonials from a two-person crew that knows how the room works, stays out of the way and delivers in days. Packages start at $3,000 and every number is published on this page.
The room
The InterContinental sits on the edge of the Country Club Plaza, and its ballroom and terrace look out over it, which is why it draws the executive dinners, board meetings, launches and galas that want the view. It is a smaller, more polished footprint than the convention hotels downtown, and the events that book it are smaller and more expensive per head.
That is a good fit for a two-person crew. We are unobtrusive in a room of a hundred, we light an interview corner that looks like it belongs in the building, and we use the terrace and the Plaza at dusk for the wide shots that make the recap look like it cost more than it did. Stage audio comes from the board; the rest is planning.
How we work the InterContinental
- Load-in — Coordinated with the hotel's event staff; Plaza traffic and valet timing are part of the plan.
- Audio — House board feed for the program; lavs for the interview corner and executive interviews.
- Lighting — The ballroom and the terrace at dusk carry the film; the interview corner is lit to match.
- Discretion — Board meetings and partner dinners are delivered privately and never used as public proof without permission.
- The Plaza — Arrivals, the lights and the fountains are the establishing shots; we schedule them into the day.
What we film at InterContinental Kansas City
Executive dinners and board retreats
Discreet coverage, a lit interview corner for two or three leaders, and a short film for the people who need to know what was decided.
Galas and donor evenings
The program, the paddle raise and the honoree stories, filmed the same night.
Launches and brand events
The reveal, the reactions and the Plaza at dusk, cut for social within days.
Leadership interviews
Executive interviews filmed on site during the event, cut individually for internal and external use.
How the day runs
Send us the run of show: session times, speaker names, where the stage is. We call the venue and your AV vendor before the day to sort out access, power and a line-level audio feed, because clean stage audio is the difference between a film and a recording. On the day it is the same two people every time, Josh and Brandon, one on the stage and one roaming, with a lit interview corner set up where the venue allows so we can pull speakers and attendees between sessions without anyone missing a session. Vertical cut-downs can go out the same day if you book them; session edits and the recap film land within about two weeks, with unlimited revisions.
What it costs
The Event Recap on the standard menu below is $7,000: a full day of coverage cut into one recap. Conferences and multi-speaker days use the lineup from our event video page instead. Keynote Coverage is $5,000 for a full day on the stage with one camera, up to eight sessions cut individually with clean board audio; each additional camera is $750 and slide sync is $250 per session. The Testimonial Montage is $3,000, with individual cut-downs at $250 each. The Recap Film is $8,500, highlights-style coverage of the stage, the room and the hallways with a two-to-three-day edit and licensed music included. The Full Package is $16,000 and puts two-camera Keynote Coverage, the Recap Film and the Testimonial Montage on one event, $1,250 off booking them separately. InterContinental Kansas City is inside our standard Kansas City metro coverage, so there is no travel line on any of these, and the venue's sales team or your planner can book the same packages at the same prices and add us to a client's event order.
Who we have worked with
We have produced event work for Commodity Classic, Village Capital, NAYDO's Philanthropy Live, IBM Think, the Digital Wrap Conference and MOCSA, alongside the corporate, nonprofit and brand films on the rest of this site. Everything is shot, directed, cut, colored and mixed by our own crew; nothing is subcontracted and nothing in our portfolio came from somebody else's shoot.
Not sure the event lands here? Our Kansas City event videographer page covers the other venues in the area, and the event video page has the full menu.

Common Questions
Everything you might want to know before we hit record.
Our event is small. Is a crew overkill?
A crew of two is the right size for a room of a hundred. We stay out of the way, and a small event filmed well produces better interview material than a big one.
Can you keep the film internal?
Yes. Board retreats, leadership offsites and partner dinners are delivered privately and never used as public proof without permission.
Do you charge travel to the Plaza?
No. The Plaza is inside our standard Kansas City metro coverage.
Who owns the footage?
You do. Every deliverable is yours to use anywhere, and we hand over the raw footage on request at no extra charge.
