The room

The Sheraton at Crown Center has one of the largest hotel meeting footprints in the city, which is why association conferences, multi-day corporate meetings and the big banquets book it. It connects to Crown Center and the Westin by the Link, and Union Station is across the way, so a conference here can run a general session, breakouts, an exhibit and a gala without leaving the complex.

Big hotel meeting space means a lot of rooms and a run of show that decides where the crew goes. We advance with the hotel's event staff and your AV vendor, lock a camera on the general-session stage with a feed from the board, and keep the second body moving between breakouts, the exhibit floor and the interview corner in the pre-function space.

How we work the Sheraton

• Load-in — Coordinated with the hotel's event services; the Link connects Crown Center, the Westin and Union Station for multi-venue days.
• Audio — House board feed for every stage session; lavs at the interview corner.
• Lighting — Ballrooms are lit for the room; fast lenses and a stage-wash position keep the keynote clean.
• Multi-room days — The run of show decides the crew's path across breakouts and the exhibit; a second camera is $750 when two rooms overlap.
• Hotel booking — The Sheraton's sales and events team can add KC Video Club to a client's event order at the same published prices.

How the day runs

Send us the run of show: session times, speaker names, where the stage is. We call the venue and your AV vendor before the day to sort out access, power and a line-level audio feed, because clean stage audio is the difference between a film and a recording. On the day it is the same two people every time, Josh and Brandon, one on the stage and one roaming, with a lit interview corner set up where the venue allows so we can pull speakers and attendees between sessions without anyone missing a session. Vertical cut-downs can go out the same day if you book them; session edits and the recap film land within about two weeks, with unlimited revisions.

What it costs

The Event Recap on the standard menu below is $7,000: a full day of coverage cut into one recap. Conferences and multi-speaker days use the lineup from our event video page instead. Keynote Coverage is $5,000 for a full day on the stage with one camera, up to eight sessions cut individually with clean board audio; each additional camera is $750 and slide sync is $250 per session. The Testimonial Montage is $3,000, with individual cut-downs at $250 each. The Recap Film is $8,500, highlights-style coverage of the stage, the room and the hallways with a two-to-three-day edit and licensed music included. The Full Package is $16,000 and puts two-camera Keynote Coverage, the Recap Film and the Testimonial Montage on one event, $1,250 off booking them separately. Sheraton Crown Center is inside our standard Kansas City metro coverage, so there is no travel line on any of these, and the venue's sales team or your planner can book the same packages at the same prices and add us to a client's event order.

Who we have worked with

We have produced event work for Commodity Classic, Village Capital, NAYDO's Philanthropy Live, IBM Think, the Digital Wrap Conference and MOCSA, alongside the corporate, nonprofit and brand films on the rest of this site. Everything is shot, directed, cut, colored and mixed by our own crew; nothing is subcontracted and nothing in our portfolio came from somebody else's shoot.
